    The staff of Lathrop Elementary welcomes all students and parents/guardians to our school. Lathrop Elementary is a school with a long tradition of academic excellence. The elementary staff is highly qualified and committed to helping all students meet success at their individual level.   • Back to School 2015
    Lathrop Elementary is looking forward to beginning classes on Tuesday, August 18th at 8:05 am.  We will be serving breakfast beginning at 7:35 for any students interested in eating.  Our school day ends with bus riding students dismissed at 3:47 followed by walker and car riders released at 3:52. 

    If you are new to our school district please stop by the elementary office Tuesday-Friday 8:00-3:00 and pick up an enrollment packet for your child.  You do not need to contact your previous school and request records we will do that for you.  You will need a birth certificate, immunization records, and a proof of residency in order to enroll.

    If you are a returning student you do not need to re-enroll. 

    School supply lists can be found on our webpage at on the lower right hand side of this page under Helpful Links.  You will also find our handbook and other helpful information.

              Back to School Open House will be on Friday, August 14th from 6:00-8:00.  You will have an opportunity to come to your child's classroom orientation and meet your teacher for this year.  Kindergarten/1st grade will have orientation from 6:00-6:40, 2nd/3rd from 6:40-7:20, and 4th/5th from 7:20-8:00.  There will also be many organizations and clubs with information and sign up opportunities. A table will be set up to pay for lunches.  People's Transportation will be there to answer questions regarding bussing.

    If you are interested in before and after school care on days school is in session please inquire about our LatchKey program on the night of Open House.

    Wednesday, September 2nd, from 6:00-7:00 Gambino’s will be hosting the Lathrop Elementary Watch D.O.G. (Dad’s of Great Students) pizza night to kickoff our program for this year.  The purpose of the program is to get fathers or father figures involved in our school and with our students at school.  We are asking those dads that are interested to please attend the informational night where we will be discussing the program and enjoying some pizza.  Dads will be able to sign up for a day to volunteer at the school beginning the week of September 8th. 

              School pictures will be the first Thursday we are in school on August 20th.  Picture packets will be sent home the first day of school.  Click the link to the left regarding school pictures to see a scan of the picture packet.

    We are looking forward to a great school year.  Please feel free to call anytime with questions, comments, or concerns.  Open and honest communication is the key to a successful school.  With your support we can educate every child, every day using high expectations, rigor, relevance and relationships to achieve excellence!


  • Enrollment for 2015-16 School Year
    Enrollment for new students to Lathrop Elementary School can be done any day Tuesday-Friday 9:00-3:00 in the office starting on Tuesday, August 4th.  An enrollment packet can be picked up at the elementary office then completed and returned.  The enrollment packet can also be found on this page under the Helpful Links heading.  We will request records from your former school once you complete the enrollment forms.  You will need a proof of residency (utility bill), birth certificate, and shot records in order to complete enrollment.  If you have any questions call 528-7700.

    Returning students to Lathrop Elementary that were enrolled at the end of last school year do not need to enroll again.
